I was blessed to be able to found Overbay Insurance Services in 2010 with my mother, Stacy. My parents had the good fortune to serve the people of Western North Carolina for 26 years through their State Farm agency. Following my father’s passing, we sought to continue his legacy of service through our independent agency, Overbay Insurance Services. In the digital age of phone trees and automated self-service, we seek to help restore community by providing excellent insurance solutions along with superior service. It is our goal to not only provide our insureds with an informative, transparent process, but to leave them walking taller and smiling brighter following their agency experience.
Regarding my personal interests, growing up in the mountains I developed a passion for activities such as backpacking, camping, mountain biking, and snow skiing. In 2003, I earned my degree in political science with a minor in art history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2011, I was blessed to marry the love of my life, Catherine. We have six wonderful children who keep us busy with the glorious chaos that comes from a large family. Sticking with our theme of service and building community, I am privileged to serve on the PTA of my children’s elementary school, including a term as past president. I am also honored to have been politically appointed to serve on The Haywood Community College Board of Trustees. My past service includes being a founding member of the Young Professionals of Haywood through our local Chamber of Commerce and serving on the Haywood Community College Foundation Board. While my ability to donate time is finite, I further seek to support the local community through charitable giving. The agency financially supports numerous local charities and outreach programs such as the Haywood County Chamber of Commerce, Haywood Community College, Pathways, Haywood County Schools, Haywood Christian Ministries, and several churches and faith-based organizations through monthly giving and sponsorships.
